Tasting Notes
50% Chardonnay, 25% Malbec, 25% Shiraz A unique blend of three varieties grown on the family vineyard on Ballandown Road just outside Milang. Chardonnay makes up the major share of this wine at 50% of the final blend. The Chardonnay was left on skin for six days prior to pressing into neutral French Oak. The Shiraz and Malbec had a light foot crush and left to naturally start fermentation in tubs. Both varieties pressed off skin after 10 days. This was allowed to ferment in oak and stainless steel. Full malo-fermentation was allowed to happen. The wine has richness thanks to lees contact again. Lots of dark, ripe smashed up summer berries and stone fruit. There is a little tannin present but this wine is made for easy drinking in the summer sun.
